Mission

Moved down to Mission,Texas to check it out & loved it. Only about a mile from Mexico but 200 yds from a State Park that attracts birders from all over. Great for biking in the park & saw Green Jays and lots other birds. Even saw a roadrunner up close but he must have been deaf as he didn't even respond to Beep Beep.
Decided to stay for a month..

Texans are renowned for boasting about things being big & maybe this lemon proves they are right..

    That is some lemon. Did you open it? Aren't you afraid being only 1 mile from Mexico. Miss you soooo much. Went to Charles' funeral service that was held at the nursing home - open casket and all. It seems that there was a family bringing back a resident from the hospital about 2 a.m. and when they left the nurses were busy with the resident and Charles had been up wandering the halls. He must have followed them out. Such a tragedy. Everyone, especially the staff, think it was a tragedy except dad that is. He thinks it is a blessing.
    Nancy actually said to me jokingly "did the thought cross you mind that your dad let him out" as a matter of fact it did, and Bill's too.
    It was a beautiful service and I donated a bouquet of flowers. Dad doesn't know.
