Traveling from Georgia to Tennessee

We had such a good time in Savannah, we hated to leave.  We headed out early, on a gloomy, rainy day and drove into S. Carolina, N. Carolina and then Tennessee.  Our plan was to drive through the Smoky Mountains and then stay in Gatlinburg just on the other side of the Smokies.

 Gloomy.......almost EERIE!!!!

Finally the sun broke through the gloom when we reached North Carolina......

The landscape was lush green foliage.  Trees as far as the eye could see.  And very little traffic.

It had turned into a beautiful sunny day and the view a constant sea of green.  I could imagine how awesome this place would be when the leaves turned colours in the fall.

TO THE BAT CAVE.....ROBIN!!!!!  (we passed on seeing the bat cave)

More open road and green hills.

Not the Bat Cave but an interesting tunnel through the hills.

My "psychedelic  phase".......in my career in Photography.........

Back to the continued incredible views....

                                                   WELCOME TO TENNESSEE !!!

Tennessee.  With log cabins and well weathered hillbilly homes.......

Loved this cabin and would have liked a tour.
