LAST ENTRY FOR "FLORIDA TRIP, 2013"........

Usually, en route home I do not take a lot of photos especially if it is the same scenery as the trip south.  But we did see some unusual stuff, first in Pigeon Forge, and then a few other spots.

Pigeon Forge, just past Gatlinburg, is home to "DOLLYWOOD".  And a lot of other tourist "fun" stuff to do.

This "ADVENTURE GOLF",  (mini golf) looked very interesting, with a dinosaur theme.  If we    weren't headed home I would have liked to play a round.

Then we passed  another mini golf course, with an "African Safari" theme, waterfalls and caves.

Not sure what "THE QUEST" was.

Then there was "KING CONG", climbing the Empire State Building........again, not sure what kind of attraction or ride this was.  And unfortunately, Mr. Cong was not facing the highway we were on.

Pigeon Forges' version of "MOUNT RUSHMORE" but the faces were not of US Presidents but  Movie stars.  To me it looks like (left to right), John Wayne, Elvis, Marlyn  Monroe and the last one I can not tell for sure.  A cross between Boy George, Charlie Chaplin or ??????  And once again, I have NO idea what the attraction here was either.

"OLD MacDONALD'S FARM", MINI GOLF.........with proof that Pig's CAN fly.!!!!!

Hot Air Balloon floated across the highway ahead of us.

Then.....a Dinosaur.....in the trees that ran next to the roadway.  Very strange!!

Back to rolling hills and forests.

                                                   Back through Kentucky....

                                                            Crossing the Ohio River

And on through CINCINNATI  Ohio......home of WKRP.

                                                     Old Railroad Bridge in Cincinnati.

Leaving Cincinnati we passed Jimmy and Tammy-Fay's modest home.

On  to Michigan, and then home via the Ambassador Bridge from Detroit to Windsor.

  1. Wow some great photos here! I love the long-exposure one of the tunnel. And the lighting on the "tulip tree" one is fantastic.

Glad to see you guys are back home for the summer. Come visit and meet our new furry family member!
